We are VERY EXCITED to announce that TODAY we are opening up more trail opportunities in the Backcountry!
We have added on to Papertown Express once again, extending another 1.31 miles! The newly-added section travels up almost to the summit of Chestnut Mountain where SPECTACULAR views abound! Both hikers and mountain bikers can enjoy the beauty of this section of trail. It provides two-way access for hikers as well as single-direction climbing access for mountain bikers.
This new upper section of the Papertown provides mountain bikers access to a 1.8-mile purpose-built, single-direction descending trail. Find out more about this other new trail in our Ladybird post!
This trail was designed and built by Elevated Trail Design, LLC and was funded by a grant from the Parks and Recreation Trust Fund (PARTF) awarded to the Town of Canton by North Carolina State Parks and Recreation. We THANK YOU!!!
